The Fighting Techniques of Zhaobao Taichi Kungfu 

 

Zhaobao Taichi kungfu is a school of taichi that combines three techniques in one.  These three techniques are movements, push-hands, and san shou.  The techniques are designed for health development, fighting, and self-defense.  The movements are the foundation for health, and fighting and self-defense are further purposes.

Master Wayne Peng demonstrated two main strategies in push-hands exercise or in combat.

Strategy of ‘Following’:
When your opponent’s energy is stiff and hard, you should soft yours.

Let your Energy glued to your opponent’s:
If your opponent moves fast, you move fast; if your opponent moves slow, you move slow.  Let your energy be glued to your opponent’s in whatever direction your opponent’s energy is moving.
